Don't expect the reserve rules to change. Our VP of flight has said that he doesn't believe new-hires care about reserve rules. His words, not mine. If the arbitrator rules in our favor (highly unlikely) then maybe a cease-and-desist order will come down (again, highly unlikely imo). Most likely the arbitrator will just say get back to negotiations and that will be the resolution. Situation normal, really.

Can anyone tell me how long the ATP-CTP course at CAE in DFW is? Is it a leave on Sunday return on Friday course, or is it a full week? Thanks.

Should be a full week unless it's changed in the last year.

Sounds like you've done nothing to deserve that job you are talking about. What do pilots like you do to earn your way into a job at AA, sorry I just don't understand, new to this game though.

What, exactly, does one need to do to deserve to work at AA?

Currently, envoy's most junior Captain = 8.5 years. Most junior flow through = 16+ years. Recent announcement is strictly bait to attract new hires.

Reserve life at envoy sucks. Hard line-holder at envoy also sucks. Mostly non-commutable 4-day trips with 11 days off a month. No duty or trip rigs.

Horrible quality of life at envoy right now. I'd seek elsewhere.

LOL. My guess is angry gummer, or soon to upgrade FO, who's mad he didn't get a bigger bonus.

Did I state something non-factual? I stand by my statements and reiterate that envoy is not a good place to work.

It's your implications which are non-factual.

People see through it anyway. Flow time has been misrepresented enough that they'd only have to go back a few pages.

Ps. Please stop spamming every single thread. We get it; you're angry.

You're the smart guy who only sees current numbers and doesn't put thought into it. You're the kind of guy that blindly accepts release fuel numbers without actually looking at the weather.

Latest flow plan shows Oct '10 FO completing Captain upgrade by end of Nov '16, 6 yr upgrade is right around the corner.

I've been off reserve awhile now, but the preassigned RAP's only suck for the most junior.

The way our reserve system works is you proffer or bid on your schedule from open time the day before you go to work. If you don't want to start early, put everything with a late show in your bid. Once you're senior enough to hold late starts (a few months on property), the preassigned RAP's are nothing more than a small irritation you have to get out of.

I don't agree with the preassigned RAP's, I think they are against the contract and hope we win the arbitration. But in reality, most guys work around it after a few months on property.

As far as lines go, 11 off is simply not the majority. There are a handful in there, but the majority are 13-14 off.

I am a commuter and I do not worry about bidding for commutability. We have a trip trade program, so any sequence can become commutable if you swap it into one. If you want to work, swap into a high time trip. If you value QOL, trade into something more commutable or with an overnight you like. Don't get me wrong, the lines could stand to improve, but there are ways around the suck.

I think there's room for improvement here. And I think AAG will be forced to make those improvements in due time. In the meantime life at Envoy is what you make it. Today is a lot better than a week ago, and a week ago is much better than a year ago.

If anyone wants a referral, send me a PM, I'd be happy to help any way that I can.

Envoy is being positioned to be THE premier carrier for AAG. Notice I didn't even say "regional" carrier. With the 175's we have with more to possibly come soon, we are more of a "national" carrier now.

With AAG recognizing the value of our reliability and infrastructure, they have responded accordingly. Even Captains are getting a retention bonus. Why someone would consider bailing for Jetblue, Alaska or some other low end LCC is truly beyond me at this point.

We are going to 40 per month flow which will put a new hire at AA in FIVE years or less. You read that right. FIVE years from brand new hire to the cockpit of the world's largest airline. Not a single regional outside of Envoy can put up these numbers. Our new hire classes were already growing monthly and projected to keep increasing. With these new pay rates and retention bonuses, we are likely going to have to turn some away or put them into a pool as we can only train so many in a month.

You haters aren't going to be able to refute any of this or cast more doom and gloom. We are truly flying in clear skies and climbing at Envoy today.

^^^^Troll.
