Picking up Open Time is a different animal. I don't ever pick up OT, but I think the only time it goes in seniority order is during the 48-hour window (someone please chime in with the correct answer here). Outside of that, OT is basically first come, first served.

Home based TDY - you get A pass at the beginning and end of each sequence (which you must call and arrange yourself). That's the point of it being home based vs. regular - they don't want to pay for a hotel for you in the TDY city for the entire month.

This is correct. However, I would add that picking up OT during the 24 hour window is a double edged sword. You're guaranteed to get it, but you have to pick up the full trip. Also, if too many pick up OT during the 24 hour window, they won't declare critical coverage.

Well this is good news for anyone on 145. TXK hotel change. No longer at the awful hotel on Stateline Rd. Thank you all for the crewcares. That place was horrible.

Thank God! That hotel was an absolute sh*thole. And so was the van. Last time I was there the poor girl driving the van had to climb back over all the seats to open the rear door and get our bags out because the door didn't open from the outside.

The last two times I went there our rooms were not ready. First time a biker club was staying there. They were partying having a grand time while we were sitting in lobby like idiots. Very unprofessional hotel.
