Default Germany Spa Resorts

Decided to post here and ask my cargo friends if you have any recommendations for spas and hot baths in Germany. We are looking for a hotel with its own spas, if possible. We've been to the Caracalla Therme already. Also, which ones are nude and which are not? Anybody stayed at Brenner's?

Ok, spent 5 days and 4 nights in Baden Baden. Went for the Full Monty at Friedrichsbad - 3.5 hour spa with hard brush skin peel followed by a 50 minute massage. All done in the nude. It took some getting used to, but at the end, it seemed like the most natural thing to do to. The changing area, showering area, sauna and hot air room were all segregated, but the pools were all mixed. I saw a lot of fat women and hairy men. I mean, one guy had more hair on his shoulder than I do on my head!!!! His hair grew all the way around his back too. Gross. I'm not a hottie anymore (heh heh heh), but I think I look a damn sight better than 99.9% of the people there. Thank goodness for good genes. The female attendants, however, liked to shout at me "no shoes!" and "take off sheet!" I've never had anyone talk to me like that before.

Spent 3 sessions next door at the Caracalla Therme. This is is more like a big hot tub party complete with "Lager Louts" all over the place. Lots of hairy men there too. There is a nude section upstairs, but I think I've had enough of the nude stuff to last me a lifetime.

Our hotel was just a half block from the two spas. When not soaking in the waters, we visited the numerous second hand shops, the Christmas market, ate bratwurst and drank gluhwein and gluhbier.

All in all, a great time and we will be back soon. Maybe Redeye and Jetjok will come along with me! And you, too, TonyC.

"I've never had anyone talk to me like that before."

Humor them, it helps them get over the last 65 years of subjegation. I'm guessing a happy ending wasn't broached?

Default Mediterana in CGN

The best spa in the Cologne area is Mediterana (posting link below). It's new, modern, and has both nude and non-nude areas. First rate place, you'd think you're in the Med at a 5-star resort. Just 20 minutes east of downtown CGN.

I would have to say, hands down, if you are staying in Stuttgart (EDDS), staying anywhere but the Millenium hotel is a crime. The spa there is immaculate. Not to mention the delicious buffet breakfast, 4 restuarants, 3 pubs (including an irish pub), theatre (think Oz, Phantom of the Opera), 4plex movie theatre and more.

Rates are decent, too.

Enjoy! I know I did!
