I can get a golden toilet seat, but that's not realistic either. Why bother saying it. He was trying to make it seem like our work rules and soft time are so extraordinarily good, that we are financially equivalent to endeavor's contract. Which is total BS in my opinion. Our 2 hour DPM and 15 hour 4 day protection is garbage. 100% deadheads and cancellation protection isn't unusual either. The ability to drop days in the ILIW is pretty unusual in regional land, but that too is limited.

PDT...well...PDT is struggling with growth right now and I am pretty sure that they are shrinking even though they could hire hundreds if they were able to get everything in order.

The AA WO are filling classes because they are stable and predictable. Endeavor raised pay, and the AA WO will follow suit and exceed that pay. Someone else will jump up with a big benefit, and the AA WO will again do the same.

The flow helps, but the AA WO also get most of the same benefits as the mainline AA. AA is starting to create a culture of "one" family between regionals and mainline. They have been talking about this for several years, and it is starting to show. Examples:

- Every mainline AA employee gets 2 free positive space tickets anywhere in the world...all WO regional employees are included.

- Every mainline AA employee gets profit sharing...all WO regional employees are included.

- Every mainline AA employee gets $1000 tax check...all WO regional employees are included.

- All AA WO regional employees get the exact same travel benefits as mainline AA employees.

I am very happy that Endeavor raised the bar, and Republic may be following suit. It just means even higher pay at the AA WO in a few months.

Hope so, but what reasoning do they have to raise the pay to beyond edv's rates, ot even to match them? You said it yourself, AA wholly owneds are filling classes.

Well, no matter what we get in the next contract any “solution” that includes us remaining an Inc subsidiary pretty much means we are done. Heck, they said we are well staffed but we can’t even do swaps on the CRJ side. Always denied due to a lack of coverage, even if we are trying to swap into a time with fewer reserve pilots and more flying.

Brand scope! What a concept! THIS is what we were fighting for at DAL in the early 2000s.

Funny. Thought there was a pilot shortage. Especially at the regionals. Pay them accordingly and treat them without despair and suddenly they have to "cap" classes. Interesting concept.

Don’t get upset because you couldn’t read.

But NOT having a flow at UAL ISNT the fault of UALALPA, NOT EVEN CLOSE.

I tend to believe that -as with most things at the airlines- if management wanted it they could make it happen.

Which pretty much sums it up for UAL.

Doesn’t matter if it’s an L-CAL or L-UAL or the UALALPA higher ups, they’re all surprised at what a cluster the CPP is and how poorly executed it’s been.
