Management has always chosen to hide in the ivory tower and avoid taking the pulse of the operation. At this point it’s nearing panic levels and no word besides a postponed conference call- in which there will be more of the same.
Either they have zero idea what to do, or the plan is unfolding precisely as planned. Make your bets.. |

Well, management is trying to spread the United buying rumor hoping to make ASA guys to come to ERJ side. They are being helped by Training Center guys, who in turn find extremely convinient to recruit those ASA pilots into the ERJ, so they will be able to make more money. It's a win win situation for training center guys and management. Meanwhile pilots are being screwed by not having a new contract.
The C5 experiment doesn't seem to work that well. Unless they offer a true flow - which I doubt will ever happen - I just don't see what will be different after a UA investment .... |

I still don't understand what a UA acquisition will do.

I know, I know, but management throws out that rumor in hopes people stay in expressjet after the bonus is paid out. |

As a more senior FO the only reason I haven’t left this dumpster fire is because I routinely get 19-21 days off a month with initial. But that’s only possible because of my business. I have no idea why other FO’s would stay if this is their only gig. Time to GTFO.

I know a few who are finishing up their degrees. Makes sense for them. But the day they finish they are gone.

I don't understand what you mean by "recruiting ASA guys to the legacy side". We are all one list and all those that remain will be on the united erj operation after nuclear winter. I don't understand why any FOs not making CA pay are still here. Live in the now - don't sit around waiting for something that will probably never happen. You are only going to hurt your career in the long run.

Yeah, we all know that Delta buying Pinnacle meant ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to Pinnacle, right?
Get real, people. United buying us saves thousands of jobs, even without a flow. Endeavor can hire without a flow. Obviously a flow would be incredible, a staple even better, but none of those are required to save the company. Stability, growth and dropping upgrade times would be a great start. |
