Either they have zero idea what to do, or the plan is unfolding precisely as planned. Make your bets..

Well, management is trying to spread the United buying rumor hoping to make ASA guys to come to ERJ side. They are being helped by Training Center guys, who in turn find extremely convinient to recruit those ASA pilots into the ERJ, so they will be able to make more money. It's a win win situation for training center guys and management. Meanwhile pilots are being screwed by not having a new contract.

I still don't understand what a UA acquisition will do.

The C5 experiment doesn't seem to work that well. Unless they offer a true flow - which I doubt will ever happen - I just don't see what will be different after a UA investment ....

I know, I know, but management throws out that rumor in hopes people stay in expressjet after the bonus is paid out.

I don't understand what you mean by "recruiting ASA guys to the legacy side". We are all one list and all those that remain will be on the united erj operation after nuclear winter. I don't understand why any FOs not making CA pay are still here. Live in the now - don't sit around waiting for something that will probably never happen. You are only going to hurt your career in the long run.

As a more senior FO the only reason I haven’t left this dumpster fire is because I routinely get 19-21 days off a month with initial. But that’s only possible because of my business. I have no idea why other FO’s would stay if this is their only gig. Time to GTFO.

I know a few who are finishing up their degrees. Makes sense for them. But the day they finish they are gone.

Although they combined the pilot senority list, guys from ASA may choose whether or not to come. From ERJ perspective these pilots are not here yet. Hence, they are new to training. What incentive do they have to come to the ERJ side? growth? monetary? none at all. I believe some captains, specially senior ones, will come and commute for 5, 4, 3 years or whatever they have left. FOs are the big deal, chances are that most of them, if not all, are commuters and why commuting to here when you better commute for Envoy, Endevour, etc

This is complete nonsense.... if UAL bought a stake in Xjt supposedly nothing will change right? Just because they buy a stake doesnt mean an automatic flow will be put into place, they could just keep the CPP in place which changes nothing as it stands today... If you are going to start a rumor, then make it a juicy one like "Ual to buy Xjt and staple them to the bottom" that's a juicy rumor and may get people to stay, not Ual looking to buy a possible stake in xjt, which means absolutely nothing at all. LOL

Im guessing if it does happen, Ual may want to have some control instead of Skywest calling all the shots where planes go... It sounds like Ual is not happy about some of Skywests decisions. But who knows what the plan is, A flow may happen, it may not. I think its more likely now since Kirby is calling the shots at Ual and he came from AA where 3 regionals flowed up to AA and then Ual's feed becomes more stable and competitive to the Envoy's, Psa. I think it would be smart to just put a flow in, the future is only going to get worse with staffing... but then again, who knows what the real plan is.

Yeah, we all know that Delta buying Pinnacle meant ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to Pinnacle, right?

Get real, people. United buying us saves thousands of jobs, even without a flow. Endeavor can hire without a flow.

Obviously a flow would be incredible, a staple even better, but none of those are required to save the company. Stability, growth and dropping upgrade times would be a great start.
