I am not at XJT (I am considering them for my first 121 job), but why would the ERJ and CRJ require two separate CPP pools? I'm not sure how the program is written, but is it specific to airframe flown?

Additionally, what percentage of new hires in United classes need to be represented by XJT's CPP?

Going forward they probably will be one pool. Right now the CRJ and ERJ are operating under separate contracts and the CRJ side does not support UAL.
That begins changing in October when we open up a CRJ base that will fall under the “ERJ” contract. By probably January there will no longer be a “CRJ/LASA” side or a “ERJ/LXJT” side.
What happens with the super senior CRJ pilots who have not been eligible for CPP is the conundrum. Some of th CRJ pilots flew for UAL for several years but apparently that time won’t count.

Very shortly, there will no longer be such thing as “ERJ” and “CRJ”. Everyone will be simply “XJT”. There will be no difference.

That's... surprisingly high. With retirements at United, it'll be (at least) 100 pilots a year for the foreseeable future.

The CPP won’t get people in the door. With the pass rate at 50%ish, the only thing that’s going to attract people here is quick upgrades and a flow.

Written more succinctly and more better than what I wrote.

Compared to everyone else, yes it is.

Although at the time is was inked was a substantially different playing field than it is now.

AT THE TIME, XJT ERJ's had NO FUTURE past 2017, THEN renegotiated till end of 2018.

There's a lot that went on for the reasons of the XJT CPP. Pilot's benefit wasn't exactly at the top of those reasons.

As pointed out, the pass rate isn't that great. And sadly, it's better than it was.

The best part about a flow through agreement (aside from a mainline job) is that it guarantees attrition from the most senior pilots within the company. It’s great for the senior, experienced guys while simultaneously creating opportunity at the bottom ranks of the seniority list.

That's true. More than 100 XJT pilots have moved on to United so far in 2018 alone, with more to come in the following months.
