I have an upcoming interview and this is my first 121 interview. I purchased the Sheppard Air airline interview prep. for the written exam. Is this all I need to study for the written test? Thanks!

Yea, that'll be fine. Do reasonably well on the technical and don't be a jackass. If you can do that, you have the job.
To answer your next questions: most new hires have been getting ORD. The TA will likely pass. If movement starts to happen again, any base should be available within a few months and reserve time will drop. Reserve in IAH will still probably always be 6 to 12 months.

Great, got the program and checking out that site. Also, i’m over 40 and just got my 1st class medical in august. I undrsrtsand it expires on march 1, and then reverts to second class privilidges. If i start training in Jan, will i need to renew my medical before training? Thanks all, this is overwhelming and 30 years in theaking for me.

If you don't, you can find a local AME around IAH and get it done during training. The locals at the training center can give you names of recommended AMEs. But yea, getting it done before training is the better idea.
