Default Kalitta 5 year ExpressJet FO interviews

Apparently if you have more than 5 years as an FO here you can sign up for the abbreviated Kalitta interview.
Keep dawdling United. It’s 2012 and ExpressJet pilots have no place else to go.

A friendly reminder when coming to Kalitta, it is helpful to know our checklists are not "read and do". The flow sets the switches, the checklist verifies. It will save you guys grief if you don't find that out at start of the fpt training.

Only a couple are read and do at ExpressJet so I don’t see why anyone would have an issue.

I don't know how you guys do things, just overheard your fellow former pilots at the training center. None of them seemed interested in asking me for help, so I thought I would say something here. So if you have any questions for a current line pilot, ask away. And when you do show up, please feel free to ask the more experienced pilots coming in for their recurrent for help, none of us want to see any new hires struggle.

First, I think the only ones still using “Read and do” checklist are military, part 91, maybe part 135. All ExpressJet pilots have been using flows for decades. It’s not anything new.
Second, almost all the ExpressJet pilots I know who have gone over to Kalitta are great dudes who are open minded and want to learn, who know that they don’t know everything. Will there be “that guy/girl”? Sure. But most of us will know who it is before they show up. Every airline has them, ExpressJet isn’t an exception. And I’m sure Kalitta isn’t either.
Third, reading your other posts I think you have a misconception of “regional pilots” and ExpressJet pilots.
Do we have a bunch to learn? You betcha. And almost all of us will admit it. But if you look at our backgrounds I think you will find it to be rather diverse. We aren’t a bunch of pilots who just got out of a pipeline program. I was flying into Seoul when the major airport was Kimpo; we have guys who flew CODS off carriers into Hong Kong when CODS still had radial engines; pilots who have already flown into Afghanistan more times than they can count; who have seen tracers coming over the nose of the aircraft.
Please, please don’t misconstrue this as me thinking I or others can waltz into the right seat much less the left seat of a 747 flying all over the world. I have much to learn and am coming in as a student pilot. But please don’t be so dismissive of those who you don’t know. Get to know us.

I am only trying to help, that is all. Dismissive? I came from Mesa, I know all too well making the transition from a CRJ to a 747.
Do you not see that you are being the dismissive one? I suddenly no longer want to help...

Best news we’ve heard all day. Your posts reek of arrogance and insecurity. You post all over the place with the need to be recognized as “no longer a regional pilot”. Please, oh please, master of the skies, show us how to be as awesome as you are.

When I said, "more experienced", I meant at Kalitta.

And when I referred to your other posts, I meant on ALL threads. It seems very important to you that everyone knows that you’ve hit the “big time” now. Trust me, we are all very impressed......

The opinion you've formed is so very wrong
I've been at K4 for 8 years
NL3 for 2 years
You will not meet a nicer and more humble pilot here
He's just trying to help
Any if you who don't have ur panties in bunch can feel free to pm him or me with any questions you may have

BTW congrats to NL3 on his 747 CA award
