All in all this place is run pretty well and they take care of you. I think you’ll be happy for as long as you wish to stay here. Let’s face it, pilots wouldn’t be happy if we didn’t have something to ***** and complain about but its pretty good here. Just let me give you 2 tips that will help you immensely once you hit the line after training that they won’t tell you about....

1. Don’t start the APU without permission from the CA
2. Don’t ever, ever, ever touch the temperature control knob

See training video below for reference on this guideline......

If you do follow those suggestions, you are not a Man... just keep it in mind;))

So I guess that makes me the #3 new hire for Nov ? Jan 7 start date.

I’d say #3 is a safe bet. Great time to get on board. Lost 51 pilots so far this month so things are looking up.

If things start moving again, the guys on property now will be the new top of the list. When I started in 06, I never thought I'd be somewhere below 600 on the total list of ~3200. That would have been rock star seniority 7 yrs ago. Now it's about 50%. With a little expansion, and if we magically became the new go-to regional for new hires, I'd be 25% in no time. Guys at the bottom would be where I am now in a couple years. All it takes is for some bottom feeder like Mesa to lose an important contract. Every one of their FOs would knife each other to be the first to come over the second they started moving backwards in base. Same goes for Republic, Endeavour, GoJet, etc. Very few that went over as street CA would stick around long enough to see downgrade.

I hear only great things about working at XJT. The attrition has me a little spooked but at the end of the day little reserve and lots of flying is what I am looking for... I also have some people reading the tea leaves telling me this is where I want to go.

...and CPP is reaching the bottom of the CA list. I think we will see our first FO CPP candidate go to United by October 2019.

Yup. United is “happy” with the size of the current CPP pool, so they aren’t sending out second round Hogan’s yet. So much for that “seniority” hardon that they had.

Wow, 765 guys either opted out or were rejected by the CPP. Not sure I'd be so proud of that statistic.
