Welcome to 6 months ago

...to put it in perspective, that’s before we even saw the new CBA, let alone voted on it.

Seriously, this is not a useful metric given the employee leave lag time.

Hi everybody, I am seriously considering interviewing this month. How long it takes from the time of the interview to IOE at this time? Thanks!

You could always wear long underwear.

I bring a hat, gloves, scarf, wear my leather jacket. If that’s not enough I can take out the fleece from my overnight bag and put that underneath. Some guys have the uniform sweater or trench coat. The preflight shouldn’t take more than 10 minutes for the first flight of the day, 3 for postflight.

Rampers have warm clothes too and have what looks like company issued overalls that provide protection from the wind.

I would say 3 months, give or take a couple of weeks.

Granted, it could be worse. Sometimes all you pray for is a working airframe, and not the ‘nice’ hotel. That’s not as far fetched as it seems- to the untrained spectator. You should hope that’s rectified with the new management.

I was told if I already hold an ATP I could start on 2/18 new hire class otherwise would have to go through ATP/CTP for about 2 weeks. However the recruiter said training is approx. 70-80 days long straight through without any delays. They are running 2 classes a month so I guess pick and choose.

How many new hires in January (versus prior months) would be a better indication whether the CPA, Ejets, hiring bonus, and United purchase have started turning things around....

It’s not useful either. The coming months will be more telling.
