Junior DOH CA at XJT is a 2011 hire, but I believe the question was about Uprading at IAH specifically. What’s the DOH for the junior IAH line holding captain?

Either because you are assuming that I'm an idiot, or you are management posting on these forums.

Why do these two statements have to be mutually exclusive?

Long upgrades or not, what’s the likelihood of being hired from the right seat to a ULCC?

There have actually been a number of XJT FOs not just hired by ULCCs, but by majors as well.

From the XJT contract:

"At its discretion, the Company may provide new hire XJT First Officers a signing bonus of up to $40,000, subject to the following terms and conditions established by the company. "

Well, it's already gone up once. There's still some room to go.

I haven't heard much confirmation that classes are getting filled, or that ATP / CTP classes are full either. But the recruiters seem busy and say that there's a lot of interest. Anyone see that first hand?

Other question: If there is a scheduled 8 hour layover in EWR, and I'm domiciled in EWR, will the company pay for a hotel there? How does this work for commuters or people who live 2-3 hours away? I'm not able to discern this from the contract language.

Over 5.5 hrs, they should provide hotel, unless it is a rolling delay. 4-A.1

ok - so a mid-trip overnight in your domicile will be covered by a hotel?

Wasn't sure if the 5.5 hours was for breaks during the day or if that covers the overnight as well.

I stopped by our table at NGPA to see how things were going. Couldn't gauge the reaction. lol. It seemed like they had some interest.

BUT, NGPA is mainly a place where people come to talk to the majors. I don't know how much the regionals actually benefit from being there.

Anyone have a link to the contract? Or do you have to sign in to the Expressjet ALPA site to see it?
