I don’t have that info, but if the new bonus was a tipping point, remember that it was only announced on January 15th. I’d assume at least 2 weeks for people to become aware of the news, fill out an application, get a call back, go to Houston for an interview, and then clear the drug test. Then consider that most people will need to go to ATP-CTP class first, and take the FAA written exam. There’s another 1-2 weeks. There’s an XJT ATP-CTP class today as well, and those people don’t show up on the seniority list yet.

Not enough time has gone by to fully gauge the buyout and bonus effects on hiring, but I do know recruiting has been much busier.

Talking with people in the union and flight standards, there's been a three-fold increase in people applying to Xjet since the United purchase and the increase in bonus. They're expecting double-digit classes starting this month or next. It also helps that Endeavor and Republic have a long waiting list to start class.

Three fold doesn’t say much. Because according to a CP they were literally receiving 2 applications a week. Whether they pass the interview or not is different. But hey, “if you have a pulse” lol

It’s interesting to see the difference between the company’s stated goal for growth and their actions.

For example, they want to hire 600 pilots this year, as stated in their website.

That means they need 50 hires per month every month for the rest of the year.

20 per month are leaving for the CPP which is great.
So the company actually nets 30 pilots a month for the rest of the year. Is that going to be enough to put all the new 145s and 175s online? Just trying to see how the math works out with what their STATED goal is, let alone what actual results are occurring.

Yes looks like 5 in the 2/4 class. The announcement of the then pending acquisition was made 12/19. The news has been out for basically a month and a half. And....crickets. People like Pontius will of course skew these facts in some management friendly light with another excuse. The reality is 5 per class pre-announcement and 5 per class post-announcement is the average. Time to pony up the dough! Endeavor rates or close the doors. :D

Mesa pay is no better than XJET yet we have 20+ per month new hires. Fast upgrades are the attraction here. Get that 121 PIC time to move on. XJET doesn't offer a fast enough upgrade path -yet - but the time to get on board is NOW. It's ALWAYS NOW because everything is seniority based.
