The Hogan

I clicked join the CPP more than three weeks ago and still haven’t received a link for the test. Pretty sure the page said the link would be sent within two weeks.

What gives?

Yeah, there are guys that were eligible for the Hogan in May ‘18 that haven’t received the second shot yet. UA is taking their bittersweet time.

Almost as though they are draining the current pool, and have something different in mind once that’s done.

Hired March 2018. Still have not received the Hogan. XJT has no idea when United plans to start sending them out again if they do at all

Supposedly, UA is instituting a “new” interview format. You’ll simply get an interview date where you will take the hogan, some sort of knowledge test, and then the panel interview.

Why would they waste the time arranging an interview if you haven’t taken the hogan yet? Just seems like half the people they get will get sent home day one anyway, why not just take it online ahead of time? Saves time and disappointment for everyone.

They may be including a follow up to the Hogan. These types of tests were not intended to be "stand alone". Delta used them in the past but had a follow up with a psych. If you failed that psych eval you could never interview again. When I took a similar test for my Special Ops evaluation it was the same thing. The next day I had a follow up with a psych. It was obvious he was looking at my test results.

That’s what was said to me, directly from Susan White in HR. It will be a 3 part interview...Hogan, Aviation Knowledge Assesment, and then the panel. Each part will be “scored”.

Also, too many idiot pilots have bragged online about their wives or others taking the Hogan for them. Pretty stupid if you ask me.

Just what I heard from the head of recruiting.

Sounds pretty similar to the CommutAir CPP. They are probably trying to figure out a “catch up plan” to do this for all the ExpressJet pilots. Exciting times are ahead for you guys.
