If staffing increases, do you think we’ll see some of the lost flying coming back?

Expect it to change. It's the one thing you can count on - change.

Ohhhhhhh. I'm not into low rent trash. I have standards. It hasn't gotten me anywhere

Not to hijack OP’s post, but what can pilots based in ORD expect for trips/overnights?

We (all bases) fly in/out of all 4 hubs (IAH ORD EWR CLE) so you will see the whole system. I am ORD based and I have done 3/4 day trips this past month. Overnights were in BGR PVD LIT DCA TYS AMA IND LCH GSO. You name it you will see it

With touching all the bases during a trip do you typically end in ORD?

You have to end a trip in domicile either by an operating leg or DH.

To add, not all trips go through multiple hubs. Some trips stay in base for the whole trip.
