Default Base assignments

Can anyone provide updated information about how bases are assigned and what domiciles have been assigned with the recent new hires?

Thanks in advance.

By seniority at the start of new hire training. Most will got to Newark or Cleveland. Chicago possible. Any base probably within a couple months.

Sorry if this was covered in other post but I'm pretty new to this. How is seniority awarded in training at XJT? Is it based on age or some value of your SSN last 4? Are the students who attend an Airline Pilot Pathway Program awarded seniority above all else?

Age. No credit for pathways that I'm aware of. Don't know anything about them though.

I was in the AP3 program with ExpressJet and they didn’t give me seniority above anyone else. I also took ATP/CTP class at XJT and had an employee number, but senority starts the first day of training, and by Age.

37 is younger than average? That is somewhat surprising to me.

The talent pool got awfully shallow there for awhile. As a result, quite a few of the new hires were second career types and “hobbyists”. My last year or so as a CA, I heard the phrase “I always wanted to try this” more than I cared for. It sounds like this trend will reverse as things at XJT continue to improve.
