pretty much everybody has been getting what they bid for. unless you bid the 175. not everybody has been getting the 175.
but ewr and ord is 99% chance youll get. houston lately has been going to new hires as well.

I really don’t understand why a new hire who aspires to move on to a major would bid the -175 at this time.

Yes and yes. But upgrade time doesn’t matter. You can go from -175 FO to -145 captain. If you want to be paid to sit around and live in base it makes sense. Otherwise, no. You won’t fly much. At least initially.

I go to Indoc July 8, planning on bidding whatever gets me to 1000 hours the fastest. EWR in the 145 is my guess...
