Yes, even if you get a line worth 75 hrs and trade a trip to get down to say 68.5 hrs you still get the EQO if you have the same amount of duty periods (think days on).
It’s difficult to NOT get the EQO. On the flip side you’ll likely get a line within months and be over 83.5 hrs. In this case you’re losing money. It’s a double edged sword. |

Ok I get that. Didn’t think about making less once you hit that point in hours. I’d still want to work more tho so I can build time and get payed more even if it’s less than the other guys. It’s better than Envoy. Was told by a recuiter there, I’d not even fly min guarantee after months of reserve.
Not to mention everyday the calendar ticks off they’re one day closer to the right seat at American. I’d gladly sit reserve for a few months in exchange for FLOW and $10 more an hour. Time goes by fast not to mention many will long for those reserve months once they’re flying 90+ hrs a month and have 12 hard days off. It’s all relative. |
EQO sucks for mil guys. I had to drop mil leave for drill this month, that brings me down to 67.5 hrs. I have to try to work my reserve bid to get days off for drill and then that takes me to 10 days off for the month in order to keep my 75 min. Once I’m re-qual’d in my MWS, I have to serve minimum 6 days at the guard unit. I will never see the EQO. Two days of guard pay outweighs the loss, but it’s the principle of the company saving money on my back because they’re too cheap to match market hourly rates.

That will never happen. It’s been a pipe dream of the lifers at Xjet for the last 5 years.
Subpar pay, no flow and an aging fleet of planes passengers want no part in (or new hires). |

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Mil guys on reserve are hit the hardest, but I’m sure a commuter clause while on reserve could hose you too. It’s tough to make up time for anyone on reserve with 11 days off |
EQO is a gimmick and needs to go.

Another update from today:
12 December 2019 Today marks the one-year anniversary of the signing of Contract 2018. Letter 2, an integral part of Contract 2018, is an agreement between the Association and XJT management to return to negotiations "shortly after" the ratification of Contract 2018 in order to continue negotiations for those areas of the contract that the parties did not have time to explore prior to its ratification. Exactly one year later, we are disappointed to report that The Deal is STILL Not Done. Throughout Letter 2 negotiations, the company has maintained a number of significant concessionary asks, yet to date has offered very little in return. By the end of this week's bargaining session, the company's proposal included four concessionary items. Your XJT Negotiating Committee's proposal contains several much-needed items that address quality of life, and items that would have made ExpressJet competitive for attracting and retaining pilots. To date, our flight and ground instructors have yet to be provided an opportunity to discuss and negotiate their proposed items. A meeting was scheduled and confirmed by the company on two separate occasions to do just that, only to be cancelled by the company with only two business days' notice. On the final day of our bargaining session this week, the company offered a few days at the end of January to negotiate flight and ground instructor items. When asked when the company will have a response to the Negotiating Committee's current proposal, the company representatives stated that it would not respond until we meet in January. The Negotiating Committee has continuously requested additional bargaining dates to continue Letter 2 negotiations. The company's unwillingness to dedicate the time necessary to come to a negotiated solution in a timely manner is concerning. To say we are disappointed with the lack of progress and the company's seeming lack of commitment or interest in getting to a deal would be an understatement. Our pilots, flight instructors and ground instructors deserve better. |

We must be in the twilight zone. It's time for the union to unleash the fury with their marketing campaigns. Enough is enough.
