I'd guess around 400 this year.. tops.

I can’t disagree. I was simply saying 20 a week would be good in response to Melit basically saying it was pathetic.

Just for comparison sake, Endeavors year 3 CA rate is advertised to be $96.49. (I'm assuming 76 seats). Our 3 year 76 rate is $76.82. There's more than pay scales... but that's a big difference. Plus all open time is paid at 150% over there. No active line pilot here should be telling anyone to come to this place until a good deal is signed. The union's strategy has been working well and it has brought management to the negotiating table quickly. There are deep pockets behind this place now, there's no reason to accept anything subpar. No excuses anymore, it's time to FUPM.

What is FUPM???

On APC, it better stand for “Fed Up”. :)

52 weeks times 20.

Re: the consistent 20/week; 20 is a good week comments.

To hit the 600 figure, 12ish a week. But again, it's been something like 6-7 a week on average.

Yeah but we have 4 full weeks per month which is how you get 4 classes. The miscellaneous days make it 52 total but thats not full weeks to run classes through.

Part of the NC update from today:

Letter 2 Negotiations Update
On November 12-14, your negotiating team met with the company in Atlanta. During the meeting, we continued Letter 2 negotiations and exchanged proposals with the company. On the last day of our 3-day session, the company passed an incomplete counter-proposal to our team. We made it clear to the company that we could not respond to a proposal containing blanks and "items the company needed to research." We asked the company to complete their proposal and to resubmit it prior to the special MEC meeting held this past week in Houston. The company agreed and, albeit a day late, did resubmit their counter. Unfortunately, the contents of the company's counter are not only very disappointing, but also do nothing to get us closer to a deal that our pilot group deserves.

Your NC will continue to work hard to reach an agreement in principal with the company by December 12 (the one-year anniversary of the signing of Contract 2018). While we hope the company will similarly work to that end, based on their last pass, we are concerned that they are not committed to doing so.

The Deal is Not Done. We will continue to update you as Letter 2 negotiations progress. If you have questions or comments, please email....

thanks for posting this. I'm a prospective new hire with a CJO from Republic and ExpressJet, and I've had a hard time deciding between the two. unfortunately it seems like XJT management is acting in bad faith in these negotiations, and I don't really want to enable that behavior by coming in as a new hire.

as an aside, if any of you folks were in my shoes, would you go to XJT or Republic as things stand today? my end goal is United so that's why I was leaning towards XJT, but any of the big 6 would be fine and I'd rather not spend 2-5 years working for a company that's antagonistic to its pilots.
