Default Told Cards 175

I just started IOE. I was going to work on my own version of a TOLD card. I heard that some of the new FOs had self developed TOLD cards.

Does anyone want to share? Thanks

Feds won’t be okay with homemade forms for obvious reasons.

Can you point to a specific CFR that would be violated?

How about this...

F. Flight number
R. Runway & first waypoint
E. EFP
A. Arrival Gate
M. Min Fuel
P. Planned Fuel

I don’t use the acronym (just made it up) but these are the things I normally like to have. I’m sure you could add a lot more but these are things you will definitely want to keep the checklists running smoothly as well as little reminders you will need for radio calls and PAs. And the EFP for obvious reasons.

Some write down the V speeds. I just print the data and have it there from the printer. Some write down the weather. Again, printer.

You can find ExpressJet ATIS cards in your CPO - same thing as a TOLD card.

I've never heard of a told card. What is it? I'm on the 175 and all the data you'll need you print. Atis..takeoff and landing data..efp..All that stuff is on the sheet. Use the briefing card to keep stuff simple. See you on the line

You're in a 121 environment. Just wait until the FAA ASI asks what form you're using, where you got it, and how the other crewmember has been 'instructed' to use and read it.

You can take whatever notes you want for yourself, but the minute it's put on the coaming, pedestal, etc., it becomes an 'official' form or document. If you have input as to how the ATIS cards might be formatted, make sure to tell the right people. Unfortunately, the little things like this- that eventually mean a lot- are getting lost on the bean counters.
