It didn’t say anything about TSA pilots retaining seniority. All that was said was

They can keep their longevity and position on the pay scale, they can even have the first chance for DEN. But to merge them into the seniority list? Absolutely not. They are placed on the list the day they start INDOC with that date of hire.

That would start a recall vote on the MEC if they were placed on the list above any current XJT pilot.

This isn’t a merger

might have been longevity type but I do recall the conversation about seniority in the airline industry sucks compared to other industries that allow you to keep your seniority if you change jobs.. example an electrician.

It seemed that the reference to pilot training in the Sims was a topic dealing with Xjt possibly providing other airlines with sim time kinda like flight safety did us. Saying there is shortage of sim providers. Take that with a grain of salt because I was not fully engaged in the conversation at that point.

So you’ll gladly take their aircraft. But get to the back of the line buddy! Some good ole fashion union brotherhood here. Cut throat city if you ask me.
LoL, which dismantled airline are you referring to? These planes came from XJT when it had 250+ EMB-145’s and was the exclusive carrier of the 145 XR🤣🤣🤣

The planes are just finding their way home again. Nobody should be taking that lightly but nobody should be shedding a tear either...

Pretty sure their instructors could use our sims but no way our instructors are legal to train their pilots.

I’ve been here for over a year. Are you getting displaced?

Construction trades are a different animal. Most are independent contractors who are sourced through the union local. In those cases the union also provides the medical benefits and retirement.

When an electrician chooses to seek W-2 employment with a company instead of being contract sourced through a local their company employment seniority starts at day one. Regardless of how long they have been an electrician.

The amount of Holt/Tutt/Hall quotes/one liners are so deep. I remember sitting at MEC meetings and thinking are these guys that dense????
