I was/am proud of you guys for striking when you did.

Sorry to hear the news! Wish all you guys/girls the best of luck in the future!

It’s always OO’s fault.
Sorry to see this happen... I’ve had enough 2020

I am one of the new ones to XJT but I never regretted coming on over. Whereas other places I interviewed laughed at my B1900 time, XJT was great as many of the guys had B1900 experience back in the day.

Nuts. Soft landings everyone. Good luck out there.

Ignorance and misguided perceptions in this industry are truly pathetic at many levels. Having done many things in this biz, including Air Carrier Inspector, LCA, Instructor.. etc, and as a 737 CA, I would hire the turboprop guy/gal ANY DAY. Those machines make some
of the best pilots.
Then again, the only job I never was hired for was “interviewer” (yes, I did apply).
May you return to the skies soon. It will happen!

I think he meant the XJT guys are mad at OO on the XJT FB page. Shocking, I know.

XJT on the ASA side from 2012-2017. Sorry to hear this. Some of my best flying memories were made at XJT. I hope you guys can land on your feet and this industry turns around soon. If anyone wants to come to 9E when/if we start hiring hit me up. I’m going to miss the Acey call sign.

Do you even need to, is anybody actually flying? I haven't been called once since on reserve, out of landing currency now too. Maybe they’ll just never call again until the last day. Fingers crossed lol.

Lots of double-CA trips it seems. We share the van at some outstations and it has always been a CA-CA pair.

The ones I have seen have all been 18+ year CAs.

Wtf? Where is this "options for the future" stuff coming from?
Didnt realize the fake news media is printing aviation related stories too.

Can you stooges kindly get out of here with the political BS? There are other threads for that. This isn't the place. It's like the awkward uncle who wants to bring up politics at a funeral.

MooseAg03 08-02-2020 01:03 PM

Everyone and everything is insane these days, it doesn’t matter which side of the aisle you’re talking about. That insanity and the panic that comes along with it is why our industry is in its current state.

Be judicious with sick calls. If they just up and fire you, there may be no recourse the get your record corrected after the company and union go away.

I have no doubt this will happen, but this is BS mob style tactics.
People should be sued in perpetuity if this ever happens.

In covid year 2020 there is no way express jet makes it to the end of 2020.
We as a people have to get an appetite to not allow corporate leaders to lie to their employees and public in general.

You must be new here. The company has already announced in no uncertain terms that, barring a new contract (highly doubtful in this environment) that company as a whole, will be wound down over the next 4 months and cease operations on Dec31.

He's saying there's no way EV makes it even that long... more like a TSA-style "fly all of your planes here now and go home tomorrow" approach, even though TSA was supposed to wind down slowly and cease ops on 12/31.

Yes Sir FrreezingFlyBoy,

I agree with NinerDriver. Captive Apple meant that he doubts that ExpressJet makes it to Dec31- very similar to TransStates.
You must have been tired when you read his post.

Reviving the thread for opinions….

How much $$$ is Karnik and his shell corporation KAir going to walk away with after fleecing the taxpayers for covid relief funds despite no intentions of actually running a real airline? No, AHA doesn’t count as a real airline, otherwise he wouldn’t have immediately declared intention to liquidate…..

phishhman 09-01-2022 07:24 AM

Who knows. But this must be a burning question for you to post in three threads in a row, hoping for a response.

Always interested. You could tell from the AHA launch flight video he had zero interest and zero confidence in the product.
