Default Will ExpressJet survive this?

Scott Kirby basically said 50 seat RJs will not be around, for United, after all this settles

Yeah seems to be confirmed on their side of the forums too. Only question I have left right now is when.

Kirby said "On the regional side, my guess is that the 50 seat aircraft will almost entirely be eliminated by the end of this. My guess is that 50 seat flying will be a thing of the past."

You don't have to trust me, but you should. I remember it bc it's seared into my memory.

You can read that two ways: he’s going to get rid of 50 seat flying -or- he thinks he has the position to get unlimited large RJ flying by eliminating scope because of this, which is what he’s always wanted. That would get rid of most 50 seat flying. Let’s all hope UALPA holds the line.

He said no matter what scenario they run you can count on almost all 50 seat flying to be gone.

The only way that he will get what he wants is if a bankruptcy judge gives it to him. ALPA has been very clear that the pilots are not relaxing scope or agreeing to concessions.
