He was probably referring to your English skills. That's something that seems to be rather prevalent at your airline!

You might want to try breaking up your lengthier comments with more paragraphs. That first post was difficult to read because the lines tended to run together.

I wish the mainline Union would put in place a real minor league system. Meaning we fly in the regionals and when number called we flow up.
Then, if you perform well there (akin to your interview) you go to the big leagues. When your time is up in the majors you retire and go to pasture, 99% don’t go back to AAA. We currently have a minor league system, what you want is a national, or brand, seniority list. |

Unfortunately that ain’t the way minor leagues work. What currently happens IS like the minor leagues. If you’re preforming well AND get lucky (ie the right guy ahead of you starts to suck or gets hurt) your number gets called from sub-AAA up to AAA.

A brand seniority list could work for low time civilian pilots who hire onto a regional and then move up when their seniority allows, but what would that do to military pilots? Should they serve 15-20 years and then have to start over at the bottom of a regional pay scale with people fresh out of a Cessna?
If you think they should, the entry point could be determined. If you think they shouldn’t, they enter with everyone else. If you think the size of the industry is much smaller post-COVID,the Cessna folks might not get in the door at all. None of this really argues for or against a common list — just implementation details. |

I’m flying a 320 to Wichita next week.
Also Sacramento and Omaha later in the month. But you go ahead with your version. |

I checked flights to ICT from Denver this week and next week. Only two flights a day on ExpressJet/SkyWest with very few pax booked. So, I’ll stick with my version and not yours. Check the loads on your flights, can a regional jet be substituted at a cheaper cost? 100% certain it can. This will make more sense for you Oct 1st.
As for the October 1st comment......classy. (did you get tired of your “airlinepilot50” username?) |
