Just like I tell JB guys who are now pounding their chests seeing what's going on with you all. I try and remind them that pilots at other airlines aren't our enemies. Not our competitors. We're all doing the same thing. Trying to make the most amount of money while maximizing our QOL. The decisions that affect how many people fly our iron, where we fly and what aircraft are in our fleet are made well above our pay grades.
I enjoy coming to work and do what I do, but it’s disappointing to see such division and hatred among the small world of us that get fly for a living.
In times like these I’d hope we’d all come together and support each other as fellow aviators, as any profession.

I posted the following on the DL forum as they were arguing posts about B6:
Man, I wish more airline pilots would see this and heed your advice, especially regional pilots. We’re all doing the same job as it applies to our life situations, we should be sticking together rather than fighting. None of these decisions are up to us, and yet it becomes so personal. So much so that we can’t even wave or acknowledge each other out on the line.

We are just like every other pilot out there and only look to put food on the table. We want to goto work and spend time with our families in our day off. I can assure you no one I fly with sits in the flightdeck and dream up ways to be an ass to other pilots. Everytime I had a jump seat rider from another airline it has been nothing but professional pleasant conversation.
Whomever you are making crap statements like this, you have to be a real treat to fly with. Your fellow pilots, stuck in the cockpit with you no doubt wants to wash their mouths out with a handgun before day one is over.

What's with all the Skywest pilot hate online? I've never run into any pilot at any airline who acted poorly towards any other pilot face to face. You can't make negative statements like this and actually work in the Industry.

I dont work at xjet but I believe you guys will survive.
The smaller regionals like AWI, commute air and maybe go-jet? Aren't likely to make it. I believe its because they are small and it requires to much accounting and resources on UA's behalf. XJet easily has the planes and staffing to take over whatever flying those guys currently have.
Plus UA bought all those 145's from trans states and at this point, its either fly them or take a loss. Probably better to just keep them going.
Whatever furlough's the company is prepping for will probably be short lived or not at all.
One things for sure come October 1st the airline industry is gonna be a replay of the movie "300".

I love the fact that people give their opinions and have no clue whats going on. All of the 145's that are operated by UA were all bought by Continental and transferred to UA when they merged. They have a ton of 135/145's in the desert that are paid for as well. The TSA, XJT and C5 145's were all UA birds and they can move them freely to whoever they want to.
Sorry, forgot to add that not all Skywest pilots are bad, but there are enough that give the airline a bad rap.

Myself, I’ve never met a “bad” pilot in real from any other airline.
I always treat my peers with respect regardless whom they fly for.
