ExpressJet Flies West

No.
"Hey, Subodh, could you convince UAL to not close XJT?"
"Hey, Kirby, don't close us, or we'll go on strike, except that we can't."
"Hey, UCA MEC, could you convince your ownership group that isn't the same as our ownership group to not close XJT, even though you're a union of pilots and not making management decisions?"
Also, the political drivel is in the other XJT thread.

Nowadays, schools want a candidate who holds CFI/CFII with around 200-300 hours of dual given. That’s to buzz around in a C152 for $20-$25 an hour. Just trying to get in the front of the hiring gate when things come back to pre-Covid levels.
i hope I get to fly with ex EpressJet guys and gals in the future, heard nothing, but awesome things.

Now I don’t know how much truth is to this story, but I am just saying what a captain told me in 2008 a few month before I got furloughed from XJT. So during those roughy times in 2008 this captain flat out blamed the union for not taking the 170 flying offered to XJT by delta.
The phrase he used was sort of inflammatory and really divided a lot of people.
He said that the union said that “XJT has no business flying those airplanes as they belong at mainline”. After that the flying was awarded to Republic.
