This thread serves one purpose, for people who do not work at express jet, to bash XJT. This is a useless thread. Listen up people, XJT is going no where. There are not closing their doors becuase of the lastest news. So keep dreaming all you XJT haters.

Like I said before, as long as the paychecks don't start bouncing, what people say on some silly little website is irrelevant to me. Let's keep doing what we do best- keeping our customers happy, while providing a superior product.

Wall St. is nothing more than a bunch of glorified gamblers IMHO anyways!

I realize that.... I made my comment in good fun, as I was amused with your choice of words.

In all seriousness, I do believe that Express Jet will be just fine. The company is being taken off the beaten path, that's for sure. But reward is proportional to risk, and the managers at Express Jet have a good history of success.

I think this is a good analogy, however I would be more specific and say that Wall Street traders are more akin to poker players: Yes, there is some risk and some benefit of knowing how the statistics work; but the real winners are those who can read the environment, find the tells, and know how to play their hand in a way that will leverage the scenario to their advantage.

I used to work there for eight years. It's like watching a train crash now: stock price, training center furloughs, losing more flying, desperate-sounding press releases, etc.

Stock price has nothing to do with the company.... only investor confidence..... Ever seen a stock go up despite a company being worthless? Get stupid investors and a stock price will soar.

Training center is furloughing only because we have seen record training amounts over the past year decrease to a more "attrition only" level.... The sky is not falling.

Losing flying? I fail to see planes sitting idle on the ramp..... Please explain.

Desperate sounding press releases? Hardly. Jim ream and friends merely seem to be quietly trying to convince the investment world to see the true potential of this company and his vision. Other companies should be graced with a CEO that has such a passion and charisma for the job/company that he leads..... Rare qualities today.

Brown, maybe you should realize that the company is a bit different than when you worked here. We werent even an independent company all that long ago...... This company now has the ability to lead itself versus many of the years you worked here when we were a wholy owned..... This company has never seen as much potential as it now has.

Where did those branded planes come from? I'm sure that's what he was talking about.
