HOUSTON, March 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ExpressJet Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: XJT) today reported a fourth quarter loss of $31.7 million, or $0.60 per share. For the full year, ExpressJet reported a loss of $70.2 million or $1.31 per share. Excluding special charges, ExpressJet reported a fourth quarter loss of $27.6 million or $0.52 per share and a full year loss of $66.1 million or $1.23 per share. ExpressJet's 2007 results reflect the transition of 69 aircraft from its capacity purchase agreement with Continental Airlines to three different types of flying. ExpressJet spent $13.5 million in transition expenses and $27.4 million in capital to launch these new segments

They will turn it around. they have solid mgt and a good employee base. Set back....yes....doom and gloom.... hardly.

It was a set back a year ago when they switched to branded. This past Q they dipped into their cash rsvs ($50 mil) and it isn't going to get any better this quarter, or this summer. They are flying planes at a loss right now with virtually everything except CAL. Little more than a setback.

Unless you are Jerry A down in SGU. Looks like they might be able to get that SLC and LA flying back for a very low price.

Stock is down 13% on the bad news. This is the last 12 months for the stock.

CAL should just buy it back at a profit, give them the contracts back, then once the company regains its footing then sell it again.
