You should E-mail CAL and let them know..... they probably haven't thought of that.

Apparently someone hasn't heard of a little agency called the S.E.C.

well, all I can say is..................Spring is almost here, I and more looking forward to not flying and enjoying the 90 degree days. I'm concerned about my company, but business is business it is no fault of Colgan, or CHQ, it is what it is. If they lose money every quarter then we will go bankrupt and we will either be out of a job, even worse, bought out. You know what they say about this industry............so all we can do is show up to work, fly a safe flight and make sure mgmt doesn't take advantage of us.

I mean no offense; I 'm just curious how going out of business is better than being bought out? At least you don't have to start over from scratch and when you think about the companies out there that have the kind of money need to by XJT; they aren't bad companies by any means. I would rather XJT retain their current ownership seeing that it would be better for you guys and the industry, but in my mind (I'm positive I'm not alone) being bought is better than going belly up.

Well, what I mean is I would rather be out of a job right away, as opposed to a slow death, if ya know what I mean. If Skywest bought us (Which I believe is a very very real possibility), the first thing that would go would be branded, along with that would be a few hundred pilots. I would hate to see us slowly ripped apart. If I am going to be out of a job I would rather it happen sooner, rather then later, make sense?

I highly doubt SKW would furlough pilots. They take pride in the fact that they've never furloughed and when you look at ASA and the fact that their flying has decreased with the closure to two domiciles without a single pilot being furloughed all while keeping reserve times low and upgrades less than 3 years. They would just trim the fat and I don’t think branded would be the fat they’d be looking at, they always wanted to do it and you guys have it (in their backyard to boot). Besides XJT has a good plan, it’s just that fuel prices are ridiculous and start up cost kill the bottom line.

I hope you guys retain your current ownership but if SKW bough you, you'd be just fine.

Not only that, but our XRs would give SkyWest some capabilities they don't have right now. And most of our branded planes are XRs.
