Who cares? Why does everybody need to keep correcting someone when they say ASA bought XJT? We all know that Skywest owns the whole thing. The fact is, XJT got bought. ExpressJet is now one with ASA, not Skywest, no matter how much you hate it or lie to yourself that you are with Skywest. ASA (oh sorry, ExpressJet for all you sensitive little girls out there) and Skywest are two completely different companies. What does it matter!? Geez... end rant

Anyways, I rather we weren't associated with Skywest anyways but my say doesn't count for crap. I wish we really were two separate companies and not just a shell game company. So, no, I don't lie to myself that I'm with Skywest because I rather be independent.

Actually a lot of people care. It's makes a difference. Not sure if you are an F.O. but I'm sure you were at one point. Remember how it felt when people said "you aren't a REAL pilot" or "since you aren't THE pilot you probably don't get to fly". It's the principle of the matter. It's kind of annoying when people sound arrogant when they are supposed to be professionals. "We bought you!" sounds totally arrogant when it's not true. I hear it a lot from ASA guys.

I'll tell you guys what will be great, we take our sweet time in negotiations, we (XJT) continue to operate under our contract, rejecting any TA inferior to our current contract, and we let the egos eat themselves up at the top. PBS- shove it up your ass.
Mediocre health benefits - up your ass
Horrible vacation clause - up your ass
Horrible pay rates for equipment size and type - up your ass
Yeah we want the world of our contract plus increases, anything else is not acceptable. This would also benefit the ASA pilots, so for the idiot that said we want the world, he should realize what he/she stands to gain. Welcome to ExpressJet.
