Looking for a little positive feedback from people who are working at ExpressJet, Republic and SkyWest.
If you had your choice between these airlines, which would you choose and why? Any other things you can help with would be greatly appreciated. Such as: Schedules, average days on/off per month, switching domiciles, switching planes, growth, "new" contracts, upgrade, etc.
Vacation? Heard you do not get any vacation at Republic?
Thanks again

XJT is in contract negations and things might change here dramatically for the worst if we at XJT dont show up to vote, when we do get a TA. As far as the difference, not very much between either. I would say which ever one allows me to drive to work, that's the best choice. Work rules really dont matter (that much, most guys dont take the time to learn them anyway) with a car in the parking lot. You show up fly and drive home its that simple. Good luck!

check out this thread;

SkyWest/ASA has a 2:1 duty rig and 100% DH. L-XJT has 200% credit for certain flying.

I've been at SKW a little over a year and although I probably guzzle the Kool-Aid more than most, have to say I'm pretty happy here. Good variety of domiciles, decent contract, wise management with lots of cash laying around, I dunno it's still a regional but overall living in base it seems as good a place as any. I pick up plenty of open time and when I was on reserve, Crew Support treated me pretty well.
I have quite a few friends who went the ASA/ExpressJet route and most are happy as well. They were hired what appears to be more of the front side of their recent hiring though so their time on reserve was substantially shorter than others.
From what I've read on here about Republic, doesn't seem like morale's too high over there, but who knows.

SKW and XJT are probably a wash since they welded at the hip long term. I would base that choice on where you want to live and junior domiciles.
I would choose either of those over RAH unless maybe you are entrenched in a large RAH junior domicile and can't leave.

I'd take SkyWest or XJT over Republic. After narrowing it down to those two, its really a question of geography I imagine.
Where are your roots?
Are you planning on traveling a lot? If so, are you more interested in Europe and Africa (east coast bases make European travel very easy) or Asia and the South Pacific (SFO is an incredibly gateway to the pacific rim)?
Are you a Canadair or an Embraer man? ;-)
Good luck and welcome
