Default 757/767 training

If someone were hired into 757 but wanted to transition to 767 on next bid what training would be required?

I am pretty sure it is still a day of ground school and 4 rides in the plane.

It is just differences. Day of Ground School, Day in the Sim, two legs on the line.

So, currently a MEM 757 pilot only operates that and never the 767?

Yes, there are 75 trips in the 76 bidpack to maintain "currency". There are no 76 trips in the 75 bidpack. I think it is working out opposite of how the company planned it. Essentially they have extra 76 pilots covering 75 trips.

Except a few pilots (76 Flexes that are now 75C).

Out of curiosity, if someone came to FedEx with a 75/6 type and was hired into the 75, what would be cut out of training?

I am wondering if the company is going to end up splitting the 75 and 76 completely after all. Training letter shows 60+ more newhires going to 75 this year and none going to the 76 (MEM). Meanwhile, the 76 bidpack continues to grow as we get more airplanes and the 75 bidpack continues to shrink as we lose more and more flying to enable 76 guys to maintain currency. For the life of me I can't figure out the method the company is using to staff these two airplanes.
