I think they can schedule you for a flight with a checkairmen prior to your 120 days expiring and it would then extend the timeline out another 30 days (150 days) to get your 100 hours.
I sent them an email when I got close and I was told they keep an eye on it, but it may be worth an email to your iOE/training scheduler (I forget which one I emailed) for your fleet if you are worried/just want to make sure you didn’t get missed.

How does that work? The system allows you to PDO bump while in an active reserve status? I had no idea this was possible! Seems like guys on reserve who don’t live in domicile would(should) be doing this quite a bit! Crash pad in Mem/Anc/ LAX or layover with a paid hotel and per diem in some city of your choosing...

Section 25.L.11.a
11. Per Diem Only Bumping (Non-Training)
a. A pilot shall have the ability to bump another pilot from his trip with
that pilot’s consent, if the submission meets all contract and legality
parameters. Submissions for PDO bumps shall be submitted at
least 2 hours prior to showtime of the affected trip. Submissions
after 0900 LBT on the day preceding the affected trip shall be
confirmed through VIPS. Submissions within 2 hours of showtime
may be processed at the Company’s discretion. A pilot on R-days
may submit to bump another pilot to satisfy pilot qualification requirements
(e.g., consolidation, currency), and if such submission
is approved, the bumped pilot is released and is not responsible
for any R-days.

When I was a new hire sitting on reserve I'd get emails saying I'm behind on consolidating, and they made it sound like it was my responsibility to get it done. It was tempting to stick around on my days off and do some PDO bumping to get it done. Thankfully, I had some great captains in my Crashpad who explained to me that working for free was a bad idea, and it's not my fault if the company isn't getting me consolidated. I also learned about the PDO bumping while on reserve in the contract, and found someone who lived local that was doing am out/backs. Called him up and explained what I was doing, and he said knock yourself out - take all you want! Put the PDO bump into VIPs and was feeling good about being proactive to get consolidated - get the crew notification 'disapproved, insufficient reserves' ... really??? I was behind consolidating because I was never being used. It made absolutely no sense to me. I called schedules and asked why my PDO bump wasn't approved, and that I was behind on consolidating. The scheduler simply said they might need me, and couldn't approve it. I brought up the contract and pointed out that it clearly said I was allowed to do this, and they said it was only allowed if they had sufficient manning. I called and let the guy know that schedules said 'No', and he suggested that if I wanted I could submit it again after shift change that evening and see what happens. I figured why not, so I preempted the request with a phone call to schedules explaining what I was doing, and even told them that it was not approved earlier in the day, but I put the spin on it that maybe they now had a clearer picture of that nights requirements. Scheduler said no problem, and told me to submit it and they'd take a look at it. Put it in and 10 mins later got a crew notification 'You've been assigned trip xxx' ... Nice! PDO bumped the next few nights.
The point is no one should be flying for free to consolidate unless it's because you really want to go somewhere, and it works out to PDO bump someone to get you there. The other point is if you are told 'No' by one scheduler it doesn't mean that the next one won't say 'Yes' if you call them up and politely explain what you're trying to do.

I flew with a new hire last month that was allowed to bump a 4 day Vancouver trip during a stretch of R days. He was paid 25 hours of international override and 142 hours if international per-diem.
Much better than sitting in a crash pad for 4 days.
