Default FedEx and expat pilots

Question...

Does FedEx hire US pilots who have been living abroad? i know before they wouldn't on account of some rule they have requiring you to have lived in US the previous 5 years prior to employment.

I have heard (rumor) that this rule might have changed quite recently. Does anyone have any insight as to whether it has changed or if it is still the same old rule?

Thanks... just trying to get back stateside and wanting to see if this is a viable option.

I asked this same question in the FedEX thread. I was told the residency requirement was lifted. I’m former EK and I have my app in.

Good luck.

They told me up and down at a job fair last March that the requirement wouldn’t change. Am affected by it, so had written them off for the next five years. Interesting development if true.

It was lifted. It is also not shown as a requirement on the website anymore.
