Default Verizon discount

Do FedEx retirees continue to qualify for the Verizon Wireless discount? With so many guys and gals retiring nowadays, there's got to be lots of demand. Anybody have the inside scoop? Any secret handshakes to keep it going?

I've been retired for 2 years and still have the discount. But I suspect that the next time they (Verizon) ask me for my FedEx email address I'll be toast.

I recently changed phone carriers and switched to a Verizon pre-paid phone. No FedEx discount for Verizon pre-paid plans. I'm on LTD and still have a FedEx email address and ID.

Not trying to be a smart***, but if you are retiring, you should look into a senior citizen discount. Most phone carriers offer them.

I can help you with discounts for military personnel + veterans if that'll help. See below from Verizon:

I'm a member of the military or a veteran. Do I qualify for a discount?
Yes, as part of our commitment to support the men and women who serve our country, we offer a $15 account discount for Go Unlimited and Beyond Unlimited, or a 15% discount off most other advertised Verizon standard monthly plans.

In addition, we offer up to 12% discounts on selected features to all military personnel and veterans (excludes data only plans or where otherwise indicated).

To start saving now, start the discount process and see other Verizon military programs at our Military Discounts & Career Programs page. You'll be directed to a page where you can enter the Verizon Wireless phone number associated with your personal wireless account and follow the step-by-step instructions provided. If asked for your company name and address, enter your branch of service and last known military address (including APO/FPO, AP/AE etc.).

If you're active military, you can provide one of the following:
Your work or government-issued email address
Recent paystub issued within the last 60 days
SCRA Status report
If you're a veteran, you can provide one of the following:
Veterans Identification Card (VIC)
Veterans Health Identification Card (VHIC)
Veterans Advantage Card (VAC)
DD Form 214 (or any other government issued, legacy discharge document)
Military Retiree Account Statement

You're not being a smart***. I just hadn't thought about it. Thanks! (Although I suspect whatever 'senior' discount isn't going to be as good as the 22% I have now.)

For me, sometimes the only way to be smart is to be a smart donkey.

I'll take any discounts I can get: AAA, AARP, standard geezer discount, whatever works. The more, the merrier. My philosophy is: the cheaper I am, the more I have to be cheap with. Just sayin'...

Thanks for the replies, boys and girls. Y'all stay safe out there, and keep those retirement checks coming!
