Default International Data Sim Cards

Anyone using an international data sim card that they can recommend?

I've tried Worldsim and Sim4globe with very poor results. I tried both using a iPhone 5S and kept getting a PDP Authentication Failure message followed by the phone not receving data.

I'm looking for a pay as you go solution. T-mobile is awesome for worldwide data, but unfortunately they only offer a $75/month plan. They're service isn't great in the U.S. and so I'm looking for a part-time international solution. Don't need talk just data.

I’ve been really pleased with Sprint’s international service. It didn’t cost me anything to add international data roaming to my plan. As soon as I turn my phone on after landing, I get three text messages explaining the access I have in the country I landed in. Data is free. Usually 20 cents a minute for phone calls. They advertise 2G or 3G speeds on the data but I’ve found it to be faster in most places. Better than hotel WiFi in Germany.

I think they also offer 4G for $5 a Day $25 a week in plenty of places.

Eh. I’m old enough to remember being excited about the speed of my 2400 baud modem. 3G seems to cover me. Considering where we were technology wise just a decade ago, being able to skype or FaceTime in some $*#^hole country whenever I want is pretty cool.

I'm on Project Fi by Google. Works great for me.

Thanks for the replies.

I'm looking for a sim (gsm) option. Isn't Sprint cdma?

I tried Google Fi. Cool concept but phone limitations is very distracting. Also only available if you pay $20 for talk/text plus at least $10/g data. Month to month plan.

Looking for a pay as you go for data option.

Yes. Sprint is CDMA. I should have read the question more closely. Having said that, I haven’t found anywhere it doesn’t work. Yet. For free.

I think you can roam with GSM, the reason it specifies it does not work with every device.

T-Mobile offers unlimited 3G Data worldwide and unlimited 4G/LTE Data and Voice in US, Canada and Mexico...works great for me.
