Fedex jumpseat administration seems to miss the ball A LOT! I have personally seen a lot of strange situations like was stated about flights being cancelled, reservations cancelled, only to find the flight was on a different aircraft type, but the folks in jumpseats can’t figure that out in real time. I just flew with someone that was jumping, went with the crew out to an airplane thinking he was flying home, flight got delayed 1+30, GOC eventually gave the crew a new release to completely new destination, not anywhere close to jumpseater’s home. Meanwhile, GOC generates a new flight with a new crew to fly to jumpseaters’ destination. The jumpseaters were never notified of the diverted flight or the need to go to the new flight. Jumpseaters didn’t get home that day BECAUSE of Fedex jumpseat administration. Jumpseat Administration response? You shouldn’t have waited on the delayed airplane so long! Not our fault!
