I haven't looked at the video yet, but don't you have to have open time before you need a new interface or app?

Can't remember the last time IND had open time except maybe 1 or two trips on Thursday night before the new bid month for about 2 minutes.

None taken at all.

I do update my calendar- maybe there’s a function I don’t know about (highly likely.)

When I view open time, it’s just a nonsensical vertical list of data that doesn’t fit a calendar

Grab somebody in the AOC or ask a few guys you fly with (chances are they use fxcal) and have them show you some pointers. But all you have to do is select from that list and it drops on your calendar and shows the footprint. Sliding it gives recap option and then you can see details.

Real time trip trading eliminates the ability to use OTP to regain the pay lost due to substitution issues.

Rather than permitting the occasional glance at open time, it would require being chained to VIPS as the end of your pay protection approached.

And here comes guy that wants the VBP.... Come on Kronan how many pilots at any given time even have OTP. In 14 years and some change I have had OTP twice, yes 2 times.. Real time trip trading is worth the loss of OTP in my opinion. Just like this piece of crap VBP is worth the loss of the A Plan to you!

Invalid reasoning when one considers the reality of our system. There is no restriction on any “non-OTP” method of picking up or trading into a particular trip. If the OTP pilot is flying, mowing his lawn, golfing and has no idea a trip is even in OT, his OTP does him no good. Someone can put in a general makeup request or trip trade and get that trip. It wouldn’t matter to the guy with OTP if it was done in real time or with our current system. Either way, the trip would be gone and he’d have no idea he missed the boat.

If OTP is the big concern, then have the folks with OTP put in general requests ahead of time with specific criteria for the days and types of trips they want that trump non OTP BLAs. That way they get anything that meets their wishes ahead of non-OTP requests. Everyone else is real time and everyone is happy.

Simple solution. Get rid of a substitution. Your trip gets canceled, you get paid.

Will do - just that helped quite a bit. Much appreciated.
