Default FDX - Open Time Bots

Is this a dead issue, or are "bots" still a player? After umpteen "Disapproved - Earlier Time Stamps" I have to wonder. If so, can someone please pass me the gouge on how to acquire said software (PM if necessary)? Thx, SM

Just my opinion - but the company defeated the BOTs with the "Please enter the control code shown below to submit your request" algorythm.

The BOTs were never the problem with people getting the "earlier time stamp" denial. The BOTs were just bogging down the VIPS server - putting an "undue strain on company resources."

Folks still get the denials because open time is so scarce and there's hundreds of people watching it every second waiting for something to pop in they can use.

Nothing to do with BOTs any more - just the fastest real person finger.

Again - only my guess/opinion, but I had relatively the same success before and after the BOT-blocker was implemented.

I'm not sure I completely agree with what you said. I know some guys who would pick up trips using a bot and they would be flying between MEM and CDG. No matter how fast you were putting it in, the bots would get the trip first.

I do agree that the bots are no longer players. Just a lot of people refreshing open time looking for a few meager trips. It's very frustrating, but you got to keep at it.

You will see the "Earlier Time stamp" message if someone else enters a request AFTER you using PMU. Scheduler told me this.

The earlier time stamp message just means you didn't get it. Doesn't actually mean someone beat you to the button.

I was beating the BOTs and all the real people a majority of the time when trading with open time.

Now, post-BOT-blocker, I have about the same success when I try to trade.

In other words, it wasn't my experience that the BOTs always won (pre-blocker) - I won a fair amount of the time I tried to trade my schedule around with stuff that popped into open time.

That's all I was saying.

If you're trying to trip trade, you have a less likely chance of getting your trip. PMU and MU come first. I think most folks are doing make up, thats why it disappears so fast.

FWIW,
I have a "bot-user" friend who was HIGHLY successful getting frozen trips once they thawed as well as other generally high demand trips using his secret program.
He wouldn't spill the beans to minimize competition.
I asked him if the anti-bot number entry had cramped his style. He gave me a grin and said there's always work-arounds. His schedule doesn't seem to be suffering, so I'd say bots are still a player.

interesting........

I guess I was wrong about the company's capabilities to squelch the bots.

Good for your "friend" - nice of him not to share with his "friends" though.

I got mine baby!!

I would say that's a real good bud you've got there. But sometimes words just don't cover the entire gist of the subject.

Kind of like that ol' song: "I love my wife, yes I do, yes I do, I love her truly..."

If they really wanted to stop the bots you would see the messed up letters like when you purchase tickets online from Ticketmaster.

There are now just a much smaller number of people who have the correct bot.
