dude, I typically dig what you’re saying; however, comma, my wife works, my kids are fantastic and well accomplished, and your sympathy is misdirected. Now go tear kronan a new one.

Quote: Try to be civil and offer her $3,000 a month and she will save thousands on lawyers fees.. Do the math.. If not, then drag it out as long as you possibly can to make it miserable for her. Most people count on one or the other persons caving in to get it over with sooner. Don't do that.!
I'm going to disagree with this advice. You will just be punishing yourself (and your children) as well as your former spouse using this strategy. You may do irreparable damage to your relationship with your kids.

Life is too short. Move on with your life. Pilots especially can make back a lot of the $$$. I'm not saying to give her whatever she wants, but the goal should be a fair and equitable settlement as quickly as possible.

Get some good legal advice to help you determine what is fair and equitable under the circumstances and the law. What you think is fair and what a judge (and the law) thinks is fair are often not the same.

Quote: Why, do all of the kids come at the same exact time?
The first one can come anytime, the rest take 9 months. (Sorry, I couldn't resist.)

It's kinda fun to watch you dance.

I think you missed the point of my first post, which was to highlight your choice of verb which indicated a level of control you apparently thought you had over your wife.

It was cute. And ironic, considering the topic of the thread.

OK, OK ...

In your case, I'll withdraw my sympathy.

Congratulations on raising fantastic kids. It's no small feat.

Also, keep in mind that the longer you drag divorce proceedings out, the more your assets’ values accrue which continually increases her share...at least under Texas law.

In my case being gone all the time I wanted someone home with the kids.

What about triplets? I hope they don't arrive 9 months apart.

Irish twins are 9 months apart. Any woman who would endure Irish triplets deserves all the money.
