Default ID75 International Shipping?

I work for a major airline and we get a shipping discount with FedEx and I was wondering if this applies to international shipping? I checked the details of our airline agreement with FedEx and it doesn't say anything about international shipping, just ID75 on 2-day shipping.

Thanks in advanced for your help. I'm trying to help my sister who lives overseas.

Default Good question ...

Just so that you know ... we extend discounted shipping benefits to passenger airline employees in exchange for limited discounted SPACE A travel benefits on said airlines (thank you very much BTW).

It sounds to me like you probably get the same FedEx shipping rates that we do. I don't know what the policy is on International Shipping? I can tell you that when I have had packages shipped to me from overseas (changed to my employee shipping account) it has been VERY EXPENSIVE. In other words, I'm not sure that we get International Shipping benefits?

Does anyone else on APC know where the policy is in writing?

We get the discount if shipping from the US to an international location.

In almost all cases, that is not true in reverse. For example, if I have someone ship something to me from Canada using my account, I don't get the discount. (I suspect a Canadian employee would get the discount in that case. Though that is not the question you are asking.)

I did get a discount when shipping my stuff from our hub in China back to the USA. But I was at the hub myself.

I was told many years ago that I could get the discount in Australia only if I took the package to the FedEx location at the airport in Sydney. But I don't know if that would or would not be true for a non FedEx employee. I didn't actually ship from there though, so I never saw a bill to verify what I was told.

To the OP ...

We're not sure that StarClipper is a FedEx pilot. I'm not sure that I would trust his shipping advice.

I recommend that you call/stop by your local FedEx Office and see what they say? If you like their answer ... pay CASH and be on your way.

I Like that we give OAL employees shipping discounts. They Flight Attendants are really nice to me when I tell them I'm a FedEx pilot.

And please let us know what you find out. We probably have the same benefits.

I see you’re slowly getting there, you went from being sure I wasn’t a FedEx Pilot to not being sure. Keep working at it, you’ll eventually get it right.

Hi,

I walked into the FedEx office at my domicile and they said we do get 75% off int’l shipping. I didn’t ask about foreign country packages shipped to the US but from the US to foreign countries we get the discount. Thanks all.

Works in both directions so long as you’ve set up a Fedex shipping account with your discount attached. Use your shipping account and, voila, the discount appears. If you’re not a Fedex employee then I don’t believe you can attach the discount to your account so you’d have to be present with your OAL ID at the shipping center to get the discount.
