Tony C is Running for Block 3
#101
Having not been privy to any subsequent RA or AC communications.
I think I can unequivocally say they are BOTH on the Pilot's sides.
IMO-in many ways TonyC would be the best choice. Because, in case you've missed it, TonyC has said he doesn't deal in absolutes. An absolute NO to any VB LOA is not TonyC's position.
Instead, he's been arguing we need more information to make an informed decision. And, a TonyC on the other side of the proprietary curtain might make a different decision than an Absolutist TonyC on this side.
PM has said the VB, as proposed, would be the minimum acceptable. Different hurdle rate, different cap rates, different floor rate all result in different numbers.
Personally, I think Mgt is retaining this issue for TA202X and I've urged my Block Reps to abandon the effort to achieve an LOA. Have to remember, the basic outline went across the table in 2017.
IMO-anything the Company wants...happens quickly. The fact that there's been pretty much no updated information\discussion on this, is indicative to me that Mgt Doesn't want to make a deal.

You've just accused a candidate of violating Department of Labor regulations forbidding the use of ALPA resources to campaign.
A retraction and apology will be in order.
And then you are dismissed.
The Walrus, it's more likely he got it from VIPS. I have sent quite a few texts, myself, but they have been one at a time from my own fingers and my own phone. No robo-anything.

I've done no such thing...it's just your characterization.. but it must be true cuz you said it on APC...
Please cite the DOL violations....

You don’t have a dog in this fight. Seriously. Just go back to your Delta page and bug the people you probably annoy while you’re on trips with them.

Is that why two Delta pilots chose to run for ALPA President, instead of consolidating support behind a single candidate?
Or the world got to witness the gory details of the numerous public food fights between C44 reps over the last few years?
That’s “knowing what we are doing”?

So glad to see a candidate for office sniping and whining about wrong-doings and mis-information....quite professional Whatever happened to "walk softly and carry a big stick"? Why lower yourself (in a semi-public forum no less) to this level? Politics nationally, and even in smaller doses like this have become an embarrassment, and it spotlights the immaturity of those inclined to participate in such rubbish. Can't say I'd vote for someone who lowers themself just to prove he's right. I'd rather watch two kindergartners fight over a ham sandwich.

Since when is it considered such bad form to point out the errors and misinformation put out by the same organization who is supposed to be looking out for the best interests of its dues paying membership???
I appreciate anyone (including Tony) who is not afraid to ruffle feathers when he sees something that isn’t right. Some may feel this is politically incorrect, but I’ll take that any day over what’s been happening. He calls it like it is, and isn’t afraid to ask the tough questions - what on earth is wrong with that?
I’d be hesitant to vote for a candidate who leaves you guessing what their position is on a subject as important as our retirement.
Disclaimer - I’m not in the block Tony is running for and have no vote to cast, but wouldn’t hesitate to vote for him if I could.
