Nearly $100 extra Per Hour? Damn straight.

Now expand that myopic hourly point of view, start multiplying it by months of credit hours and years of earnings.

At just 80 hours that’s an extra $8,000 per month and nearly $100,000 per year.

That’s about 292 credit hours at our highest pay rate (+$10 International override). Seems a bit out of reach.

I definitely know some guys making $60k+ and that’s working damn near every day of the month.

Maybe HKG based with all of their additional stipends?

This can be achievable with premium pay and extensions (as a CA) but this is for a very small % and not every month. They are probably HKG based or a fleet where AVA and opentime is plentiful. I heard one pilot (and im sure there are more) was on day 18 of an extended trip that was originally 4 days.

And yes, I agree that those that live in domicile get more calls than those that don’t, which is in violation of the “in seniority order” that the contract states.

I’m just pointing out that what you wrote isn’t true. I’ve never flown a trip I was called for. And I’ve been called multiple times in a time that is relatively short compared to your personal example. I was called three separate times in a span of a week, more than a year ago. And I was called last week. I’ve been called a couple other times in between. Lastly, I don’t live in domicile. So that assumption doesn’t hold true, at least not in my personal case. But then again, I don’t have anything to compare to. As far as I’m concerned, that amount of calls is normal. Maybe you are the exception?

Yeah, because you have gotten a few calls over three years and one last week, what I said can’t have an ounce of truth to it. Let’s see, should I base my opinions on your less than three years of experience here or my twenty? Now tell me more about how FedEx works and our history, please!

Absolutely true. I’ve seen some MD-11 guys have been out for almost a month now on the same trip. Seriously. Most of that is at 200%. Id say some are making around $120k this month.

They just call and see if they can be extended. I’m not bashing them, if they want to stay out that long, they’ve earned it. I just can’t do that...

Here is what you said.

“Heck, I haven't been called for a draft trip in over 16 years and have never taken one.
That's probably the reason that I never get called. CRS knows who the sky***res are and feeds them regularly.”

And I’m telling you that this isn’t the case. How do I know, with a measly three years, that you are wrong? Because I’ve been called multiple times, never have worked one of those trips, and am still getting called.

And you also said this.

“If you and your buddies are getting a lot of draft opportunities, ask yourselves why. You get asked because they don't want to waste their time contacting people they aren't sure will jump at the opportunity.”

Again, despite your vast 20 years, I’m here to tell you, that this is not correct either. Like I said, I’ve never flown one of these trips, yet they still call me. So if you are correct, they wouldn’t waste their time calling me, right? Yet they still do.

Maybe since you haven’t been called for 16 years for draft, it’s you who doesn’t have anything to base your opinions that you are trying pass off as facts? It appears from what you’ve said, you don’t know how FedEx works. At least not in this regard.

Now can we stop making this personal and instead just make argument against the points we make rather than making arguments against us personally by trying to attack credibility?

If you’ve only been here a a few years and have received multiple draft calls, while the 20+ year guy is saying he hasn’t been called- - doesn’t that make sense if CRS is SUPPOSED to offer draft trips in REVERSE seniority order?

You just don’t get it, do you? You have been called half a dozen times in about three years and once in the last week. There are guys who get called multiple times a months for draft. Why do some get called so much more than others? If you don’t believe that CRS knows who to call when they need a trip filled, you are very naive.

Now, I know what I said and I stand by it. Just because you got called for a draft trip last week even though you haven’t ever taken a draft trip doesn’t mean that CRS doesn’t know who to call when they need to fill a trip. There are pilots here who do draft on a monthly basis, if not more. If you could prove to me that you get called every month for draft for the last three years and have never taken a draft trip, I might reconsider my position. That would mean that you would have to change what you said about how much you have been called. Here’s another example. During the last contract, they had LCA’s flying draft in the right seat. Do you think that they called every FO in that aircraft before they called the LCA?
