Carryover trip/reserve conflict

Carryover trip/reserve conflict
Greetings!
I haven’t bid reserve in a long time, please forgive me for the following stupid question.
I have a carryover trip and bid reserve that conflicted with a bunch of r days which were removed (obviously). Question is, don’t I get to tell them where to put those conflicted R days and when? At first I thought it was r line reconstruction, but that’s for vacation holders. I’m assuming during view/add?
Thanks in advance!

Thanks. I thought we had to tell them, “Hey, take the X# R days removed from conflict, and put them at the end of the R string left over.” or “Put them over these 4 days.”
or or at least I think we used to tell them that...or maybe I’m confusing that with Reserve line Reconstruction....or maybe that was when you have reserve carryover and it conflicts with newly awarded reserve line....you then tell them throw those conflicted R days here or there.
Because as a reserve line bidder, if you conflict and now are able to pick up trips in view/add, doesn’t that go against the whole reserve line award?
Somebody un@&#$ me please....

You are correct. That was the old method. Has not been that way for a few years now.
Under the new method, you bid in the view add window to replace the hours conflicted with your choice of trips, reserve, nothing at all or combinations of those. It’s awarded in seniority order. After the conflict period the view add window will open and you can input your choices to add back however many hours you lost in whichever duty type you prefer. If you aren’t awarded any of your choices those conflicted hours will simply remain in your GMU bank.
