They will fill FDA vacancies just like they currently do. If not enough current pilots bid the vacancies then they will be offered to new hire classes if they want them. If not they may have to wait another month or two for a class with none FDA new hire slots.

The recent word from an LAX based CA is that they are whittling down that domicile via attrition. Makes sense since it seems like anytime they need coverage in LA scheduling just builds an xtra pairing to the west coast with a back end DH that gets revised to LA airport stby once you land.

Probably later than you want.
Seriously though, it's the practice bid. Don't get to wrapped up in it. Bid what you want to fly at the seniority you are comfortable with. If you can hold it, great! Don't add stress that you can't control to your life.

The actual timings are in the FCIF\Announcment of the bid.
As pinseeker said, bid what you want. If you're close to the end of a seat lock and want to swap to the 777, request a waiver. Never get something if you don't ask for it.
Considering the size of the bid, if it was my call, I'd release every WB FO to bid the 777 if they wanted to.
For those who've never been here for a bid, people bid weird stuff and then change it for the final. Actually fitting their own name in at the relative Seniority level is apparently too hard.
Actually bit one of the buds when he input a practice bid at 100% to see if he could get that Capt seat and then, thought the final was a day later than it actually was.
So, bottom WB Capt for quite awhile. Which can suck, huge. Likely sucks way worse on the 75 though. Wouldn't think it would be that painful on the 777.

Probably because they’re potentially life changing decisions that can have significant repercussions. Gives us all a more accurate representation of where we may actually end up and significantly aids the decision making process. SA builder.

Bid what you want. It is that simple. We have the luxury of percentage bidding. So there shouldn't be any repercussions.

Literally took more time to type this complaint than to NOT bother looking at the practice bids.
