I agree with you. But I also think the problem is the large system bids FedEx publishes. It causes so much chaos and excess movements. It also causes them to guess at the business model and staffing 12-24 months into the future.

Smaller monthly bids that start training in the next bid month would give them so much flexibility and visibility on staffing issues. We already gave up PassOverPay so a rewrite to Section 24 wouldn't really affect W-2s.

Also, we could significantly reduce movements and training by having one pay scale like our UPS brothers. I know FedEx has said, or so I've heard, that they'd never go for that. More so, ALPA is against it because it violates ALPA's "bigger airplane, bigger revenues, bigger paycheck" model. If you look at the FedEx contract, the payscale doesn't have a single pay rate nor does it follow ALPA's payscale model either as the little Airbus pays the same as the 777. (Yes, I'm aware of overages possible on the 777 ... that's a separate issue).

The “little” Airbus is 2’7” smaller in length than the 767 but is 2’4” taller, so by comparison to the 777 the 767 should also be referred to as little. Using your scale that would make the 757 a tiny plane. 😋

It is tiny, but very cool and sports car like from what I’ve heard. Probably one of the more fun ones to fly.

The 757 may look like a sports car, but it flies like a truck.

But it is more of a sports car than a Miata.
