MD 11 Trips
I’m sorry if this has been talked about before. What kind of trips are expected on the MD 11? I know it does domestic and international, but how much is domestic versus international? What are there typical lengths? Do international trips go junior or senior?

Out of Memphis Europe goes senior, Asia not as much. Single and double departure international lines go senior during the normal bid but you can get them as a junior guy with a secondary line. Domestic stuff goes junior. On reserve expect a lot of Portland, Oakland, LA, Montreal, Toronto, Seattle.

If you’re asking about reserve (I.e. hotel standby) in locations outside of base then yes, you will either be deadheaded or operate there out of base.

That can be a good deal. I started getting paid as soon as my trip left MEM, I sat in a nice hotel for 4 days and deadheaded home.
