Yeah, but then you get weird like the guys you fly with. Before long you'll be wearing sweater vests and come home to a house full of cats. You'll be found mumbling to yourself in the corner of AOC during hub turns. Something about what they did with your stapler.

I literally just spit some really delicious IPA out of my mouth reading this. Well done, TH. Well done. Omfg I’m dying thinking of myself in an Arnold Palmer inspired cardigan 😂🤣

yeah all that “widebody” money on first year pay lol. Negligible vs narrowbody. Plenty of dudes I know rolled to a widebody….that they wanted originally in BI…in less than a year. Combine that with an extra $3K/mo for potential passover pay, it’s not a bad option at all and one that shouldn’t be dismissed as the “worst advice”.
Well, to be fair, there's super rapid seniority progression on the 'Bus and the MD as well, and very few people step on those guys' shoulders.

no no, he had a legit point. Passover pay was given away in the 2015 contract and there's a lot of 757 dudes that were hired in 2019, awarded 777 on 20-02 and still have yet to go to training, and probably won't for a while. They're making $162~$166/hr right now, while people hired into the airbus in the first half of 2021 are making $191/hr already. Our contract is kind of a joke in this regard.

It's very difficult to get NHJAC these days as the Bus and/or the MD in ANC usually go junior to 757.

Outstation airports on hub turn trips
In regard to AM and PM hub turns on the 767 out of MEM, how is the verity of outstation airports during the trip?
For example, do you spend the week flying between MEM and the same outstation airport, or do you fly between MEM and different outstation airports?

Some fleets have more of it than others. You can bid other stuff though if you have a personality and groundhog-day flying isn't for you. If you're one of those weirdos who does like groundhog-day flying, just be aware that your airplane might fly to that city for one month but then might not the next month. Never chase an airplane or base here at FedEx because you're trying to get layovers in a certain city. It doesn't end well for most people that try.
Also MEM 767 is not a great first choice for new hires. It has one of the longest reserve times due to all the people who are senior to you transitioning in above you.

Ah yes that's called city purity - when you fly to the same city every night or day of the week.
