Default Typical MEM schedule/days worked

Was curious if someone could shed some light on a typical schedule or number of days worked out of MEM, as well as how commuting factors into that? I’m assuming MEM 75 is fairly easy to get out of training? Also what is the typical credit for the average month. Thanks in advance.

Looks like last couple classes MEM757 and ANC
MD11 went junior. Could someone share their thoughts on ANC as well please? Asking for a friend with a sub-0999 SSN. Thank you in advance…

Just search here for your first question. Plenty of threads dedicated to that. Yes 75 pretty easy to get. Recommend bidding that if you’re in “danger” of not getting your first choices so you’re not seat locked…and if there’s a potential system bid coming up. Credit for 4 week bid month is 70ish. 5 week is 90ish.

Just a thought on someone bidding 757 with hopes to cross train to 767 or bid to 777 asap. With new hires being assigned both of these fleets, it could easily take a couple years or more to get a different AC. I’d plan on spending a while on the 757 if you do this.

This is true. I was hired in September, 2021 on the 757. Was awarded the 767 on the last system bid. It’s probably going to take at least 2 years for differences training.

There really isn’t a ton of concise info, and most of it is outdated by several years in this regards.

The 75 flying hasn’t changed in the 6 years I’ve been here. It’s not concise because the answer isn’t concise. Memphis is a very large hub with very diverse flying.

The "bid the 757" so you don't get seat locked seems to be some of the worst advice that people could possibly give out.

Yeah, you're seat locked to a WIDE BODY for two years instead of stuck in a narrow body for two years while you wait for training to a WIDE BODY??? Talk about throwing away money. And, even if it isn't the ideal plane and domicile, it's for TWO years. This job is a marathon, not a sprint. Enjoy the wide body dollars from the beginning.

yeah all that “widebody” money on first year pay lol. Negligible vs narrowbody. Plenty of dudes I know rolled to a widebody….that they wanted originally in BI…in less than a year. Combine that with an extra $3K/mo for potential passover pay, it’s not a bad option at all and one that shouldn’t be dismissed as the “worst advice”.

Not to mention the rapid seniority progression on the 75, while those WB New Hires all sit in the bottom 10-20% and have guys senior to them stepping on their shoulders with every ITU monthly bid.
