Tuck, Thanks for the backup.

Retro pay is called "amendable period recovery payment". In the Neg's notepad. (and it will be duesable)

And if you read the notepad carefully, "With the mediator’s assistance, we spent the remainder of the session developing and discussing a concept designed to create momentum on compensation." We started this, not the company.

Now, was the MEC asked or even informed that another process was being started after the MEC authorized the strike vote? Who looks the fool? MEC or NC? We are at end game, this is not the time to start getting creative and John Wayne stuff, Especially when it comes to our contract.

The MEC needs to take control now. The MEC should call for the vote before the 5 Apr info picketing event. Get our message out now. We are ready for an industry leading contract in every section. Period. It they can't do it, we can find others who can.

Its your money and quality of life and you have earned it now.

The level of disappointment in this self inflicted event is hard to quantify.

Some of you are so deep in sunk cost fallacy that you're willing to fabricate fantasies in your head about where we are. The negotiating committee conceded the game long ago.
"The largest Fedex Alpa contract in terms of overall value"
The Negotiating committee didn't ask for anything close to Delta Pay rates and the company's offer was miles away from that. This incentive pay Bull$$!t was brought to you buy the same clever minds that cooked up the pancake plan. They should resign. You cannot declare an impasse when one side is perpetually capitulating. The goal is not to get a f@$# TA. The stated goal was an industry leading TA.

Same exact phrase as our previous TA, with added clarity in parentheses.

Yeah, kinda feels and smells like 2015 all over again.

Exactly. Ask the folks at FedEx who work under the bonus system how often that gets paid out. I believe it’s paid once in the last 5 years. The company will use voodoo math to show the “metrics” aren’t good enough to pay out even while making record profits.

The metric needed would be EPS. That’s what Wall Street wants to always see and it’s the only thing Raj has an incentive to inflate. There’s massive quarterly pressure to meet or exceed EPS. Not saying I’m for it, just saying if we play that game tie it to numbers our investors and therefor Raj exert all their energy chasing.

Too simplistic. They'll just pay investors with dividends, or use buybacks to run up share price (with the "earnings" disappearing before they're counted toward our pay rate). There are just way too many loopholes for us to be stupid enough to agree to play this game.

Mark the tape - if this gets out of the garage, they're going to show you the obscene amount of money you'd have made under this program during covid and then convince you to be ready for the next run by doing this deal. That's like buying a stock because it just had a great run.

If the hard floor of these pay rates are DL rates, then I'm all ears.

Sorry but I have lost all trust in PM and the NC - first trying to get the Pancake Plan while not in Section 6 and now this. PM needs to step down and stop with the fancy stuff he thinks is best for us.

Agreed, but I don't think he will step down. The MEC will have to fire him, and that is unlikely to happen.

The best we can do is contact our reps, and let them know loud and clear that we don't want to play this game. Industry leading pay rates are what we want, no games, no funny business, no half baked promises like 2015 (SLG Generator, anyone?).

Put the rates in black and white, or commence the strike vote. They don't understand anything else.

Make a motion at the next joint council meeting to have the NC and/or MEC recalled. I’ll be there.
