I wouldn’t be surprised to see FDX return the 3 TNT/Titan/aka Atlas 777s at the end of their lease period. Or, maybe Atlas will turn around and operate those 3 777s on an ACMI basis for FDX? Not poking fun….I truly hope you strengthen your Scope. That will benefit all US pilot groups.

Clear message of earnings call was
- intention to sunset MD11
- shrink Express - profit margin at 1.2% - worst of the Companies
- cut salaries and costs at Express
As they have said recently - they intend to use more non-Express a/c for non urgent freight - belly freight, intl flights (no scope intl), wet leases who knows
Things are different this time. I wouldn't expect good news next week or in the near future.

[QUOTE=FXLAX;3609250]Nine of those MDs are permanently parked, the 30s. They also have the option of returning leases on 7 more MDs, 11 airbuses, and three 777s.

that product is outdated. The new one has md gone by 2025]. Bus numbers steady and no purchase past 2025. Fleet replacement , shrinking Express

can you post the new one? I checked every annual and quarterly report since 2020 and can’t find a new one…

That product was published by management 2 days ago (March 16, 2023).
It says it’s as of Feb 28, 2023. Maybe they will update it at their DRIVE briefing on April 5th?

Nobody is saying the MDs will be parked overnight. They’re sunsetting them / phasing out.
Drive:
Another 11% reduction of flight hours
Deferred freight to be moved by contractor/belly freight
Jan 2024: 36 MD11s operating (16 parked)
Jan 2025: 24 MD11s operating (another 12 parked)
